Meet the Brand: INIT

15 October, 2026|In Blog|By Euro Bus Expo Team

We catch up with Niki Dupont from INIT to find out more about their brand and exhibiting at Euro Bus Expo, on stand 210.

Tell us a bit about your company?

INIT is a leading provider of integrated technology solutions for public transport, helping operators and authorities plan, manage and continuously improve their networks. With decades of experience across the public transport sector, INIT brings together the technology, expertise and data needed to support more efficient operations and better passenger experiences.

Our portfolio covers the key areas of modern public transport management, including planning and scheduling, vehicle and fleet management, real-time information, ticketing and fare management, depot management, electric fleet management and data intelligence. Rather than treating these areas as separate systems, INIT helps organisations bring information together to create a clearer, more complete view of their network and how it is performing.

This integrated approach enables transport organisations to make better use of their people, vehicles, infrastructure and energy. By connecting operational data with planning and management processes, teams can identify issues earlier, respond more effectively to changing conditions and make informed decisions based on what is happening across the network. This can help improve operational efficiency, optimise resources and support more reliable, resilient public transport services.

For operators, this means greater visibility and control across day-to-day operations, from vehicle movements and depot activity to driver resources, service performance and fleet requirements. For authorities, it provides the insight needed to understand network performance, manage contracts and partnerships, plan for future demand and make informed decisions about investment and service development.

As public transport continues to evolve, organisations are facing increasingly complex challenges, from changing passenger expectations and constrained resources to the transition to zero-emission fleets and the need to make better use of data. INIT’s open and scalable solutions are designed to evolve with these needs, supporting organisations as their networks, technologies and priorities change.

From everyday operational management to long-term network development, INIT helps public transport organisations turn data into practical insight, connect the different parts of their operation and make smarter decisions — helping create more efficient, responsive and passenger-focused public transport networks.

Public transport is becoming increasingly data-driven, but having more data is only part of the challenge. The real opportunity is to bring information together, make it accessible across the organisation and turn it into insight that helps people make better decisions.

At Euro Bus Expo, we’ll be exploring how an integrated, data-led approach can help operators and authorities look at their network as a whole — bringing together vehicles, depots, planning, operations, passenger information and fleet data rather than managing each area in isolation.

At the heart of this is ITCS, INIT’s integrated transport control system. We’ll look at how modern operations control can provide a real-time view of the network, bringing together information from vehicles, infrastructure and other operational systems to support better decisions. From managing day-to-day disruption to understanding network performance, the aim is to give teams the information they need, when they need it.

We’ll also explore the role of open systems and open APIs in creating more flexible technology environments. Public transport organisations increasingly need their systems to work together, while retaining the freedom to evolve their technology over time. An open approach makes it possible to integrate data and services across different platforms, suppliers and technologies, helping organisations avoid creating isolated pockets of information.

Data is also central to how we think about the bus depot of the future. As fleets become increasingly complex, particularly with the transition to zero-emission buses, operators need to understand how vehicles, charging infrastructure, energy, depot capacity, schedules and operations interact. Bringing these data sources together can provide a much clearer picture of what is happening across the fleet and where improvements can be made.

Across the stand, we’ll show how INIT’s solutions can work together to create this wider view — helping organisations move from managing individual systems to managing the network as an integrated whole.

Why is exhibiting at Euro Bus Expo 2026 an unmissable opportunity for you?

For INIT, Euro Bus Expo 2026 is an important opportunity to engage directly with the UK bus industry and demonstrate how technology can support the sector as it continues to evolve. The event brings together operators, authorities, technology providers and industry decision-makers, providing a valuable environment for meaningful conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing public transport.

This year, we want to use the stand to move beyond individual products and show the bigger picture: how ITCS, data, open systems, depot management, vehicle intelligence and zero-emission fleet technology can work together to create a more informed and efficient operation.

With the transition to electric fleets, increasing pressure on resources and growing expectations around service reliability, organisations need technology that can work across the whole operation rather than creating more disconnected systems. Euro Bus Expo gives us the opportunity to demonstrate this approach in a practical and accessible way, while showing how INIT’s open and scalable solutions can support operators and authorities both today and as their requirements change.

It is also an opportunity to share our experience from major UK and international projects, listen to what the market is telling us, and build stronger relationships across the industry. Most importantly, we want visitors to leave with a clearer understanding of how better use of data and integrated technology can support better decisions, more efficient operations and better passenger experiences.

For INIT, Euro Bus Expo is therefore not simply about showcasing technology. It is an opportunity to start conversations about the future of bus operations and demonstrate how a more integrated, data-led approach can help make that future achievable.
